Shri Vasudevanand Saraswati (1854 – 1914) is also known as Shri Tembe Swami. His original name is Vasudeo, father’s name is Ganeshbhatt, mother’s name is Ramaabai and Grandfather’s name is Haribhatt. As per the lunar calendar he was born on Shravan Vadya 5, Shalivahan Shaka 1776, 26 ghatika after the Sunrise.

Saraswati Poojas

Goddess Saraswati, the consort of Lord Brahma, is the presiding Deity of all forms of Vidyas – i.e., learning. She is the Goddess who grants us success in Education, research, music, singing, dancing, acting, painting, sculpture etc. She is also the ruler of speech and called Vagdevi. In the orthodox Hindu tradition, before starting anything one salutes one’s Guru, Ganesha and Saraswati. These three salutations are called Vandana Trayee.

Abhinavagupta

Abhinavagupta (c. 950 – 1016 CE[1][2]) was a philosopher, mystic and aesthetician from Kashmir.[3] He was also considered an influential musician, poet, dramatist, exegete, theologian, and logician[4][5] – a polymathic personality who exercised strong influences on Indian culture.[6][7]

Anandamayi Ma

Anandamayi Ma (née Nirmala Sundari; 30 April 1896 – 27 August 1982) was a Bengali Saint, described by Sivananda Saraswati (of the Divine Life Society) as "the most perfect flower the Indian soil has produced."[2] Precognition, faith healing and miracles were attributed to her by her followers.[3] Paramahansa Yogananda translates the Sanskrit epithet Anandamayi as "Joy-permeated" in English. This name was given to her by her devotees in the 1920s to describe her perpetual state of divine joy.

Adi Shankara

Adi Shankaracharya (Sanskrit: आदि शङ्कराचार्यः [aːdɪ ɕɐŋkɐɽɐ])[note 1] was an 8th-century Indian philosopher and theologian[2] who consolidated the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta.[3][4][note 2] He is credited with unifying and establishing the main currents of thought in Hinduism.
