Adi Shankara
Adi Shankaracharya (Sanskrit: आदि शङ्कराचार्यः [aːdɪ ɕɐŋkɐɽɐ])[note 1] was an 8th-century Indian philosopher and theologian[2] who consolidated the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta.[3][4][note 2] He is credited with unifying and establishing the main currents of thought in Hinduism.
